This year I tried out for the 8th grade basketball team. This year 22 kids tried out for the basketball team. Last year only 17 kids tried out. So I thought there was going to be a lot of cuts. This year there was a twist on cuts. Sence so many kids tried out there was no cuts. For me this was really weird. I thought I had a chance to make the team, and I did, but so did everyone else. Our practices were really tough at the beginng. They seem to be getting easier. Mostly because I getting in better shape, but we are having more time to run plays in practice too. The position I play is 1,2 and somtimes 3. 1 is like a point guard. 2 is a shooting gaurd, and 3 is like a shooting foward. My favorite is 2 because I get to dribble a ot and I get to shoot to. Last year I was playing 4(like a post), but then coach found out that I could dribble really well. Then he let me play 1. Our record last year was 6-4. We lost to Lakewood and kings twice. This year I think that we willl do very well. Maybe we'll go 8-2. Our first game will be against Coupevile. hopefuly we will win. Last year we only played them once and we won. Come and watch us.

Andrew, it's Guy. I can't believe that you almost dunked that ball during that game in Coupville! That was freaking awesome! Too bad you missed it. Oh well, I thought that we did a really good job at the game.
Hey, I think that it would be easier with cuts even though its just middle school. It would make kids that make it better as a team and it will give us more reps in practice without as many players. Anyways our game at coupeville was pretty good i guess but we are gonna have to be a lot better against Kings. Soo good writing and good job in the game at Coupeville and lets win at Sultan.
